ALL for the Love of NERD!

So... My totally amazing writer friend, Cassie Mae (not kidding! She's beyond awesome!), would like to know what the NERDiest thing about me is. This is a demonstration of love and NERDiness in homage (abject affection?)to her new book: HOW TO DATE A NERD!!! Here's my answer.

Wait. What was the question again, you ask?

I have you now...

The question, my friends, is: What is the NERDiest thing about moi?

The answer? ALL OF ME

And I have 27 REASONS to prove it!

Reason #1

Obviously... I care nothing for fashion. I am fluffy and prefer tshirts and jeans and almost everyone of my shirts either has a snarky saying or a cartoon character on it...

Yes. I am 31. Don't judge me. Moving on...

Reason #2

I have wayyyyyy more books than shoes. Granted, they are cool shoes [insert pic], but I didn't even own a pair of Nikes EVER in my life until March of this year.

Reason #3

Yes. I wear ocular assisting devices (AKA: Glasses!!) It's cliched at best, but... IT COUNTS!

I still carry a torch for my middle school crush: Jason David Frank AKA The ORIGINAL Green/White Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers... I do wear my Green ranger shirt proudly in public and I have his autograph!

Huge John Hughes/Musical/80's/YA movie freak over here! I quote SIXTEEN CANDLES word for word. My kids LOVE it!

I literally own ALL 51 of Disney's full-length, animated feature films (Shown in theatres) with All of the sequels and spin-offs AND all of the Pixar movies... Let me stress: MINE. My kids can watch them, but I probably watch them more...

I collect COMIC BOOKS! Not just any comic books... I am a devoted, die-hard fan of WITCHBLADE! (If you haven't heard of it, I pity your existence. They even had a show for about two seasons, which was AMAZEBALLS!!! But then the star went into rehab for a drinking problem... C'est la Vie!) Love me some Sara Pezzini...

I also love me some Usagi Tsukino AKA Bunny AKA SAILOR MOON!!! I adore Sailor Moon and I have those original release US manga and the comics as well! (I gave the original Manga to my oldest daughter for Christmas alst year, as she adores it too!) Naoko Takeuchi is so talented...

Speaking of things Japanese: The Super Nintendo still reigns supreme at my house! My girls have their Wii and their personal little Nintendo consoles, but I have my Super Nintendo from 1992 in perfect working order and I dare someone to play me in Tetris or Super Mario... I promise I'll most likely win.

I cross-stitch. My last project was a favor to a friend. What was it? A COBRA emblem from G.I. Joe. Awesome, right?

I have all of the seasons (there are five and there are six movies -- counting the deries premiere and the spinoff of the Rangers)on both iTunes AND DVD and I have the set of rare comic books in mint condition and I <3 Bruce Boxleitner so much that...

I went to Dragon*Con to see him and get his autograph! I also go to see Sherrilyn Kenyon. I have seven autographed books by her and eventually I gotta have her sign them all... (ring any bells? Gotta catch 'em all LOL)

Speaking of which... I am a 90's girl! Where Babylon 5 is my fave TV show #1, #2 would have to be... DARIA! I still have a poster up in my room from 1997 that I thought very accurately portrayed me and my sister... With myself being identical in personality to Daria, of course

Maybe this makes me sound more old than NERDy (like the cross-stitching thing), but I LURVE NCIS!!! Mark Harmon is a hottie (to me) and Gibbs and Abby are amazing! In fact, Season 11's premiere is TONIGHT!!!!!!!

My whole room is a wall of geekdom! My poor sweetie let me decorate our room how I wanted to, so... I have one of my drawings up, I have a Pracownik dragon poster, I have my autographs on the wall and my Daria poster and a half-naked Sara Pezzini/Witchblade poster drawn by Michael Turner (the creator... he died a while back). It doesn't look like a man lives in here at all LOL
